Hi All, a very big thankyou to all the folk who helped me when I broke my ankle on Whernside. Other rides who stopped to make sure I was warm and in my bivi bag - two other ladies names unknown , Simon? from manchester wheelers, the walker who went back to alert mountain rescue, a supporter who took my bike down and handed it over to my husband when he finished. And all those who said Hi on the way past.
Bowland mountain rescue were fab and we had a pleasant wait for the helicopter in sunshine and blue skies, so glad the rain had stopped!
I now have a frustrating few weeks of sitting - which is very much not like me! It does give me time to make plans for the 50th 3 Peaks tho'

When you said 'Its okay I've got marmite sandwiches' when i asked if you had gel etc I knew they wouldn't give you the kiss of life!
