Well here in Helwith Bridge it has been a pleasant sunny day, albeit with some heavy overnight rain. I have just completed my race sweeper's duties by clearing up my mini Glastonbury, with the help of the ever present feline assistants. The whole two fields only yielded a carrier bag of litter, so a big thank you there, that is less litter than a normal camping weekend. We cyclists know that we are a healthy bunch, but for me to find only one fag butt was a pleasant surprise as well.
I have found what I think is an arm warmer, either that or it's a large willy warmer, left on the wall to the left of the finish gate. Assuming that we don't have any one armed competitors it must have a mate somewhere, so if you or anyone you know has misplaced one, send me a PM with the colour and make and I could post it to you.
I also have a chain that I recovered from between Rawnsley's Leap and Swine Tail (the rocky climb just before the Ingleborough summit plateau), glinting at me from the mud a bit like the One Ring. It's not as useful as that artefact and I don't know if the owner wants it, but it's here as well. I also recall seeing an object while I was descending Ingleborough that I dismissed as litter at the time, but now think could have been a cycle computer. This could be worth going back to look for, but that would need to be fairly soon.
