Bike Skills for the 3 Peaks

Postby minnellium » Mon Jul 18, 2011 1:49 pm

Hi all

I won't go into detail here but I'm involved in a cyclocross skills training day that is right up the street of us 3 Peaks people.

10th September in Bacup, Lancs,

See my 3 Peaks Cyclocross blog for a bit more flavour and Ed Oxley's site here to book

Without wishing to be rude I think I will stay in my +5 30 category rather than shell out 70 quid for 6 hours instruction

I'd say £70 is a bargain! In the grand scheme of things compared to what you spend on other other areas of cycling.
Prob a better investment than any bike upgrade, easy way to save time and if you keep practicing skills should stay with you...

I'd be in if I wasn't tied up that weekend :(

But I can carry my bike up mountains without extra instruction

I'm in.

I have done an mtb skills day with ed before and easily learned enough to make it worthwhile, even though I don't 'do' downhill.

Skills aren't what I lack, it's the ability to sprint up Whernside carrying my bike that I lack!
