interesting...bought a 3T about 5 years ago. downtube snapped in a very similar manner to your photo. noticed it climbing out of the saddle and wondered why my back end was whipping around. kinesis replaced under warranty for a 4T. which snapped this year on the chainstay. disappointingly the 3 year warranty didn't get 'reset' after the first frame failure so no replacement. frame now used as a elaborate toilet roll holder! (27.2 seatposts are just the right dia).
75kg rider, bike used mostly for rough commuting but never raced nor particularly trashed.
now gone for steel which is heavy but is a much nicer ride.
