Helmets

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me what is classed as a hard shell helmet. Is there a eu standard I can look for?
Its my first race and don't want to miss it due to having the wrong type.

You'd have to go out of your way to find a helmet that was not a hard shell nowadays.

Relevant standard is BS EN 1078:1997
